Karaban Labiner Associates (KLA) was established in 1969 in New York City and is one of the oldest independently owned and operated rep firms in the United States. Our initial responsibility was to handle the Northeast advertising sales responsibilities for three special interest magazines.

Over the past 40 years KLA has made a distinct mark in many diverse specialty fields. Among them are consumer publications dedicated to outdoor sports, home decorating and entertaining, health & fitness, and travel & leisure activities, trade magazines targeting retailers, managers, healthcare professionals, and scientists, and Association publications in optometry and health information management.

KLA has first-hand experience publishing both consumer and trade magazines, giving us an understanding of publishing not readily available to most advertising sales representative firms. With this valuable experience we are able to view publications from both general management and an advertising sales standpoint.
